Wow what a great day we had. We got up and went to the Zoo. We fed the giraffes and laughed and let the giraffes eat crackers off our heads and from our hands. It was awesome. Russ held Sarah up with crackers in her hands and two giraffes came up and she was sandwiched between them. She was so excited and had a great time. Russ and I both had giraffes sit on our heads and eat crackers. Sydney had a giraffe slime her hair because we put a cracker on her head and the giraffe ate the cracker with a very long tongue. After the giraffes, we went and saw the lions and the monkeys and then took the tram around the Zoo and found the penguins and the gorillas. We had lunch and rode the horses and carousel and then left. It was a great day.
In the evening, we went to a restaurant called Fargo's Pizza Co. It looked like and old saloon and the ladies and gentleman were dressed in old fashion clothing. It was a great day. Pictures to follow.

Colorado Springs
Sarah, Russ and I are in Colorado Spring Colorado having the time of our life. We arrived on Thursday afternoon and just hung out waiting for the Parisian's to get here. They arrived at around 10:30 Houston time. Sarah was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. On Friday morning, we got up and ate breakfast and then drove to Santa's Workshop at the North Pole. We had so much fun we got there when it opened and left when it closed. Sarah talked to Santa about what she wanted for Christmas and she gave him froot loops to give to the reindeer. Then we went on every ride in the park at least 2 times each. Russ went on most of the rides with her and I took lots of pictures. She even went up the candy cane slide and slid down at least 3 times. We went on the tallest ferris wheel, cuz it starts way high on the mountain. We fed deer and goats and then went on the carousel and the train. All in all we have a fabulous time. On Saturday, we got up and went up Pikes Peek. We rode the Cog Railroad and Sarah loved the train and scenery. She was amazed at eveything she could see out the window. She fell asleep close to the top and when they opened the doors to let us out she woke up to a very cold wind. I on the otherhand was not feeling so good and had to sit down and drink water and eat a little protein. One of the EMT's up at the top said that a person looses 1 liter of water on the way up. We stayed up at the top and took pictures and then came down. Sarah slept most of the way down wheich was good. When seh got up we fed her some beef jerky and apple and she was ready to go. We went to eat at a place called Mo's Diner and it really looked like a diner. In the evening we ate at Mimi's Cafe. We have had wonderful service and great food the whole time we have been here. Tomorrow will be the ZOO and the giraffes. I can't wait. Pictures will have to wait until we get home.

Friends come over
About a week ago, Catherine and her mom came by to have some fun and have dinner with us. We had such a great time. It has taken me this long to post pictures of Catherine drinking a new strawberry/banana slush. It ended up all over her face. Sarah loved making the shake and Catherine drank hers and her moms. We love to have them over and hate that they live so far away.

Today's Audiologist Appointment

Today Sarah had her 2 week check up with the Center for Speech and Hearing. All went well. They were pleased to hear that her appointment with Dr. Albright went so well and that her hearing was in the normal range with hearing aids. We don't need to go back until we get the FM receiver from the school district so they can program her hearing aids to help her hear with the receiver. The pictures are of her getting the molds for her hearing aids and testing them out.

Carving the pumpkin
Halloween
Boy have we been busy. We started off the holiday with a trunk or treat at Manna's Church on the 26th of October. A trunk or treat is where people open their trunks, decorate them and give out candy. It was our first trunk or treat. Sarah dressed as a pirate so that she could have a hook and sword. She said her name was Captain Hook/Captain Sword. She even did the ARRRH!! She was so cute. Russ told her a joke to tell everyone and she said it to whomever we could get to. The joke was: How much do candy corn cost? A Buccaneer. Get it??? Sarah loved getting the candy but also loved handing it out to the others that were trick or treating.
On Friday, she had her parade at school and then a parade and carnival at Bendwood. Russ, Manna and I were there to watch the parade and then have fun at the carnival. Sarah bobbed for apples, bowled for a kazoo and many other things. She liked the cotton candy and snow cones the best. That night we went to the Fourier's for Dinner and then went to their Church for carnival. There we played games for candy and rode on a hay ride. It was lots of fun. We also had cotton candy. After we went back to the Fourier's and went to the houses on their street where they know the people. Sarah loved going to the doors and saying "trick or treat" the best part was getting more candy then she knows what to do with. We came home and we all passed out. It was a great time!!!
