Mona in Willy Wonka
Mona was in the production of Willy Wonka at Spring Woods High School. She was an Oompa Loompa. She has done a fabulous job training and practicing for the musical and was just fabulous in it. Lydia O'Quinn and Alyson O'Quinn were also in it. Sarah loved watching the musical. Her favorite part was when a real cow comes out on stage. I think Mona's(and all the performers) favorite is the fact that the cow is pregnant and pees and poops back stage. We went to see her opening night and so did some of her friends from China. It will take her a long time to come down from all the excitement.

Meeting up with Cousin Susie
Richter Reunion 2010
Oma (Hazel Meckel Richter) has a family reunion every year. Russ and I have been going since we started dating back in 1997. We have missed a few but not many. This year it was out in Bulverde at a rec. center. We get to see cousins we haven't seen in a year but this year it has been 2 years. Last year, Oma got sick so we didn't go. Sarah has new cousins that none of us had met but it was fun to meet them this year. We also got to see cousins we have missed over the year. Sarah's new cousin's, Hailey, Carly and Travis all played very well together. Next year we will take Micah and she will be the newest!!
Gymnastics show January 2010
Last Thursday Sarah had her show week at Gymnastics. She is actually very good at it and very limber but wants to do Karate again so we will say goodbye to gymnastics now and begin Karate. Her teacher Ashley is very good and I will miss seeing her every week. SHe is now going around on the uneven parrallel bars, walking on the beam without help and doing much more.

It is official!! Sarah became a Girl Scout Daisy today. She has two leaders and I am sad to say I only know one of them right now. There are 8 girls in the troop and today they got their tunics with their troop number on it and a flag and at the ceremony they got their Girl Scout pin. I am not sure why I signed up but I am the troop cookie manager. Cookies go on sale Saturday and I can't wait!!!

The Sewing Sisters
Mona and Sarah both have needlework now. Aunt Marcy gave Sarah a piece of needlepoint back in the summer and we went today and bought Mona a hook rug to do. She is having a wonderful time hooking. Sarah got frustrated and was hungry and decided to break her needle so now she has nothing to do this evening but whine!!!

New Years Day
What a lazy day it has been. I took a nap while Russ and Sarah went outside and Mona watched movies on TV. In the evening we went over to the Parisian's house for dinner and talking. The minute we got inside the house, the girls were gone upstairs and the adults got to enjoy talking without interruption. They did come down for dinner and then Sydney and Elise gave Mona and Sarah each a gift for Christmas. We came home and Sarah passed out soon after going to bed.
Happy New Year
Happy New Year!!! We had an awesome time with our friends that we think of as family. We had the Fourniers and the Gees here. There were 13 people. The kids played and had a wonderful time together. We had dinner of spegetti and meat sauce, garlic bread and salad and 3 types of dessert. After dinner, we went out and did sparklers, confetti wands and poppers. The poppers were duds but the sparklers and confetti was great. After we came in and played Disney Bingo. Emma won most of the time but we all had fun trying. We watched the ball drop in New York and had sparkling apple cider after. Then everyone went home. It was a faboulus way to spend New Years!! We will do it again next New Years with Micah joining us.
