Yesterday was Gotcha Day for Sarah and Abby. It was 4 years yesterday that Sarah was placed in our arms and we became a forever family. We got up and went to Sarah's swimming lesson and then came home and played for awhile. In the afternoon, We all went to the Fournier's house for swimming, dinner and cup cakes. We went to their pool and played for while. The girls loved to hang on Russ and then do his hair. After, we went to Pei Wei for dinner. It is a tradition for us to go there. We then went home to the Fournier's to have cupcakes and play. By the time we looked at the clock it was 9:30. It was a great day for all of us.
My long lost neighbor and friend Peggy and her daughter Sandy came in from South Carolina for the week. They came over to chat and then we all went for Bar-b-Que at Rudy's on 290. It was very good. Here is the only picture we took the whole evening.
Today was Sarah's last field day at Bendwood. Russ went with her and took pictures as I had to be somewhere else. They had silly string, ice cream, a carousel, games and a moon jump or two. Sarah had a great time as she met up with her husband Jared.
Sarah and I were getting ready for Mother's Day and we decided to curl our hair. Here are pictures of Sarah with her curlers. The other pictures are of Sarah while she was trying to get dressed this morning and put her shorts on her head and her shirt on her legs. She has been very silly all day.
Sarah has karate, tap/ballet and gymnastics all on Tuesdays. Tonight when Russ got to The Little Gym, he started taking pictures. Here are a few of them. June 2nd will be her recital for tap/ballet.
Here are the pictures of Sarah at swim team practice. She is really enjoying the pool everyday. And she gets one on one attention from one of the older swim team kids. Sarah has to exercise before they can get into the water. It is lots of fun to watch.
We joined the community pool so that Sarah could join the swim team. Tonight was her first night of practice. She had a great time. Coach Lucy and Coach Howard will be working with the little ones this summer. We will have practice every evening from 5:45-6:15 until school is out and then it will be from 8:45-9:15 every morning until it is over in July. I hope Sarah has a great time. She has already asked if she will have to win and I told her that if she has fun she will have won and that everyone gets a prize this year. I will have pictures tomorrow!
