Sarah's field day 2010

Sarah had her field day yesterday at Pine Shadows. There were 5 stations that the kids went to. She stayed with her class and they traveled around. I thinks she loved the parachute the best. Actually she loved the snow cone and popcorn at the end the best. In the end she told me I could leave. She is growing up and I don't like it.

Sarah's first sleep over

Sarah had a very busy Saturday. She had a Daisy Troop Dinner at EL Gallo and then went to see High School Musical at Spring Woods High School and then slept at the Hyatt Hotel with Aunt Marcy and Uncle Jim. The musical was long and by the time we headed to the hotel, Sarah was asleep in the car seat. Uncle Jim carried her up to the room, where Aunt Marcy got her undressed and settled on the couch where she didn't make a peep until 8:30 Sunday morning. Marcy took pictures of her and made Jim check to make sure she was still breathing under the comforter. In the morning they had Froot Loops, Apple Juice and an apple. Then Sarah styled Uncle Jim's hair. HE is a great sport and she had a wonderful time on her first ever sleep over. She can't wait until they come back again and she can do it again.

Today

Sarah had a fabulous day yesterday and spent the night with Aunt Marcy and Uncle Jim last night. She came home today and we stayed home for most of the day. Russ and she worked with the spin art machine and made several cards that I think she will use to write thank you notes on from her birthday. They had a great time. The last picture is of Claire and Micah tonight at the restaurant. I had to put it in as it was too cute!

Gotcha 2010

It is amazing that 5 years ago today, Sarah was placed in my arms. She is a wonderful girl and a joy to our family. For the last 3 years we have celebrated with the Fourniers on this special day. Today we went to Tan Tan Fast Food restaurant and had a wonderful meal. Abby made strawberry rice krispies and wrote "Happy Gotcha Day Abby and Sarah" on it in icing. We had a great time. We are a very lucky family to have 2 fabulous girls.

Saturday Night

The Daisy troop took an end of the year field trip to El Gallo and then to the musical High School Musical at Spring Woods High School. It was also a first for Micah. Dad had her stand up outside El Gallo leaning on the wall with Sarah gently holding her hand. I can't believe how far Micah has come in 10 weeks.
Mona was a cheerleader in the musical so the girls were excited to go and see it. All the girls sat together at El Gallo and then we walked across the street to the school. We had front row seats with VIP signs on them and then got to meet the stars and get autographs after. During intermission, we had cupcakes that Mrs. Shannon got for us. Aunt Jill and Cameron came also. After the show, Sarah went to the hotel with Aunt Marcy and Uncle Jim. She stayed the night. It was a night of firsts for Sarah.

Look How Cute

Tonight we took Mona to El Gallo for her birthday and Micah looked so cute I had to take a picture of her. SHe has 4 teeth popping out of her gums as we speak. If she gets any more drooly we will need rain boots and rain coats.

Mona's Birthday

Today is Mona's 17th birthday. This morning she got up to a package from James Avery. We gave her a drama charm. At school her friends wished her a happy birthday and two of her friends took her to Memorial City Mall to get an animal at Build A Bear. She choose an owl and named it SLM for Stephanie, Leah and Mona. We met up at EL Gallo for dinner and Allison and I made a turtle cake. The restaurant sang happy birthday and we all ate cake. I hope she had a wonderful day.

Mother's Day 2010

I had the perfect Mother's Day. I now have a complete family with a wonderful husband and 2 terrific daughters. We spent the day all together having Micah dedicated at Cinco Ranch and then lunch at Piatto's. We then came home and I actually got to finish Micah's baby blanket. It was 3 years in the making but it is done and she will use it a great deal.

Lemonade Day

had a wonderful day yesterday. It was National Lemonade Day and we went to the Gee's house to have a lemonade stand. Wendy hand squeezed the lemons and I made cookies to sell. we set up outside with posters and all the fixins. Wendy called her neighbor and they came with friends and then went door to door asking people to come out and buy lemonade. The girls came up with a cheer to do when cars went by and several stopped. They made about $38 and half will go to an orphanage/adoption agency. The girls were very pleased. When people would come up to buy the lemonade, Sarah would sing them a song on the guitar. She made $1.75 in tips. After we went inside, played and had fabulous spaghetti and meat sauce that Wendy had made. It was a fabulous day!
