Getting ready for Mona

Well we finally know when Mona is coming and it looks like around the 14th of August. Now after 12 years of my living with the ugly wallpaper in the front bedroom, it is all gone. Russ, Sarah and I have been working hard for 2 days taking the paper and glue off. Russ painted the room today and it looks great. I will post those pictures later. For now you can see Sarah and Russ taking the glue off. It was real teamwork.

Sorry

Sorry the last blog news was backwards. You got to read the last part first and the first part last. I am new at all this and experimenting with adding more pictures to an entry and adding more words. I guess I have to add in the opposite order next time and see if that helps.

Houston Dog show

We also got to see some rescued dogs. There was one that was 5 weeks old and Sarah loved petting it. Then we saw a Texas Chihuahua. It actually was a Bull Mastiff. The lady said he was very excited sitting in his chair. You be the judge. All in all it was a fabulous time. We will do it again next year, I hope.

We had the best time today going to Reliant Arena for the Houston Dog Show. We went with Wendy, John, Catherine, Lisa, Ken and Elisa. We have never seen so many dogs doing so many things. There were agility tracks, Frisbee throwing, ball relays, and much more. We even got to go behind the scenes to see where the dogs are kept during the 3 day activities.

In the eveining

Thursday evening we went to the pool. It is an indoor pool. It has a coconut tree that sprays water, a turny slide, a frog slide and then a rope ladder that goes the length of the pool with lily pads along the bottom. Sarah,Abby and Claire had a great time playing and didn't want to leave. Sarah really got into the rope ladder and going the length of the pool When she fell, she would pick herself out of the pool and try again. The slide was great because she did it on her own and kept going. She would swim under water to get to the side, get herself out and try again. I was very proud of her. She slept pretty good after all that.

Tulsa first day of Camp

Sarah's first day of camp was on Thursday. We got up and ate breakfast at the hotel and then left for camp. It is located in an event center called Garnett Event Center about 5 miles from the hotel. We signed her into her room and she was happy. Abby is in her class so the girls are together. They had an opening ceremony where all the kids and parents went into the big hall and watched the dragon dancers put on a dance. Sarah seemed to have a great time.

Tulsa first evening

We left for Tulsa OK at 6:15 in the morning yesterday and go there at 6:30 in the evening. We traveled with the Fourniers and had a wonderful time. After stopping at the Crackel Barrel in Conroe, all the girls piled in our car to watch movies and play. They watched several movies and sanf many songs. We had one meltdown about 1 hour and 45 left in the trip. I think that is pretty good considering that the girls are strapped in and can't move to much. In the evening we went and played at the pool. Those pictures are to come.
