Santa's Worekshop part three

We slid down the big slide. I went twice with Sarah. Russ didn't have to go down it at all. We saw Santa and then went on the train, then went and made candles. That was way cool and we will have to do it again next year. Then we went to the magic show. It was the first time we went to see it and Sarah asked "Is he a real wizard?" She was amazed at all the things he could do.

Santa's Worekshop part two

We did lots of things while at Santa's workshop. It was nice to have two big girls that could go on every ride with the little ones. Sarah had to have her Daddy go on a few of them but all in all the 5 girls had a blast together.

Santa's Worekshop part one

Saturday morning we woke up and drove to Santa's Workshop in North Pole Colorado. Mona's best friend and her host family joined us at the workshop. Her name is Alicia and her host family are Lisa and Don, Lilly and Ella. We had a great time. I haven't heard two girls scream so loud in a long time. Sarah had made her letter for Santa but we left it at the hotel. SO when we first got to Santa's workshop, we went to the post office there and rewrote her letter. The pictures are of her writing her letter on the floor of the store. It was so cool. She was sad she didn't have her original list but the new letter was cool also.

Last one at the Zoo

This is the last group from the Zoo. Russ, Mona, Sarah and I had a fabulous time and can't wait until next year.

More Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

As you can see I enjoy the giraffes the most. But we did go off and see other animals and then at the end of the day we went back to see the giraffes one more time. We saw a great deal of the zoo this year. The monkey house was the best as the gorillas and the apes were very playful. One of the orangutans fell in love with Sarah and was showing her his food and giving her kisses. We also saw an elephant that has been in movies in Hollywood. I can't say it enough how much fun we had.

More Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Near the Giraffe area there was a huge pile of snow built up. The girls played on it and we took pictures. As you can see we stayed with the giraffes a great deal of the time. I took over 400 pictures and about 350 pictures with the giraffes.

Our trip to Colorado Springs

The Richter's went to Colorado Springs on November 19th through the 22nd. We had an awesome time. When we landed in Colorado Springs we had snow on the ground. Not a great deal but enough to have snowball fights and get our hands very cold. We went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Santa's Workshop and Garden of the Gods. It was a short trip but filled with lots of memories and fun.
Friday Morning we woke up and went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We introduced Mona to the giraffes and them spent a great deal of time feeding them. Mona had never seen anything like it and had a blast. One of the bulls was in a pen by himself because the Zoo didn't want to have to explain mating. While we were there feeding the giraffe's we called Aunt Marcy in Dallas and told her to get on the Zoo cam and watch us feed the animals. It was way cool for her to watch us.
