After ear piercing and lunch Sarah and Mona went on the carousal.

Mona gets her ears pierced

We took Mona to Claire's to get her ears pierced. She was very nervous but very excited. She chose some green 14 carrot gold earrings. The lady wouldn't let us take pictures of her doing the actual piercing but we took before and after. Mona did a little screaming but was very brave.

First Day of Kndergarten

Here is the first day of school for Sarah and Mona. We all got up, ate breakfast and said our goodbyes at the house. Mona walked to school by herself and Dad took Sarah to Pine Shadows. She took a pecan, she had found on the ground, to Mrs. Raschke and the class. I went off the Nottingham and everyone had a terrific day.

Meet the teacher

Sarah had her meet the teacher at Pine Shadows on Friday the 21st. Her teachers are Mrs. Raschke and Mrs. Camacho. They were very sweet and gave Sarah a great deal of attention.

Today

Today we took Mona to the Hong Kong Market and for Dim Sum. She had never had Dim Sum and it was a new experience. We also took her to the Market and bought a few things to remind her of home.

Here is our first glimpse of Mona and her friends that came here to learn. Sarah was so excited she had to give her a present immediately. Sarah also wrote a poster welcoming Mona to our family. It was a great meeting and I hope that we have many more fun times in the year to come.




Here we are getting ready to meet Mona. She missed her flight and didn't come in until 11:30. We met some very nice people that are also having foreign exchange students.

Thursday

Thursday was Sarah's first day of school. She is going to Bendwood for the 7 days that I have to be in meetings and she would have no where to go. I think her backpack was bigger than she.
