It's a first

Today has been a very nice day at home with lots of firsts. Sarah actually touched and ran in the grass around her playground, barefoot. She has never wanted to touch the grass, much less run in it, without shoes. The 2nd first was the Norris' came over for the first time this year. (I know it is only the 3rd of January but...) And the 3rd is that Sarah asked for more chicken tonight at dinner. We went to Chili's with the Norris' and Russ and Sarah shared the Monterrey Chicken and she loved the way it tasted. Catherine is a blast to watch. She is full of energy and loves to kiss everyone. It was a wonderful day!!! She is in to everything and just as she opens something she is off to something else. We are very fortunate to have them in our lives. Wendy is into taking pictures and I dropped our camera and broke it today so I have no pictures to share.

One more

Sarah got red cowboy boots from her Manna and we went to dinner and she wore them with her Texas Ranger badge. The other pictures are of her collecting ornaments and taking them off the tree. She had a great deal of fun!

Chanukkah

Here is Sarah lighting the candles for Chanukkah. Each night she picked what color candles we were to use in each of our menorahs. She loved lighting the candles and getting a present most of all!

I never posted Colorado Pictures

I forgot to post the Colorado Springs pictures so here they are!! There are so many to pick from that I am not sure I got the best. If you want to see more, you will have to let me know and I will show you all 400ish pictures.

New Years Day

Manna and her friend Mary (from California) came over and Russ made Chicken and Dumplings. They were the best I have ever had. Afterwards we went outside and lit sparklers. Sarah tells us "I'm big now. I can hold my own sparklers" and she is right. The sparks still frighten her a little which I am glad about but she loves lighting the sparklers.

Christmas Day gifts

Manna came over and gave Sarah the cutest jeans and a CD-Karaoke machine and Russ and Sarah had fun singing.

Christmas Day

When dinner was over, Sarah, Russ and I made our first gingerbread house that wasn't from scratch. Sarah had so much fun pouring the icing on the roof that when we were done, it looked like a snow storm had come through.
