Later in the day, we went to the Cloud Brocade factory. I thought I might be able to find a new table cloth for the table at home but found different things there. We took a tour of the factory and found out that the Emperor of the country had his robes made there. We also found out that it takes 8 hours to make 2 1/2 inches of silk. It was amazing to see how the silk was made. We bought a few things there.

NanJing, Cloud Brocade and City Wall
We visited the Nanjing City wall in the morning. This is a wall that was built around the city to protect it from attacks from enemies. Each brick was made by hand and the maker had to write his name on it so that if the Emperor wasn't satisfied, the worker and brick would be destroyed. That seems very harsh but the wall is still standing after over 200 years.

Friday and Saturday Easter
Friday evening, the Fournier's invited us to their church for a short service and egg hunt. We went and had a great time. We got their early and cracked cascarones on our heads before, sat and watched a little play on God loving us no matter what and then an egg hunt. We had a great time.

Saturday at the Church. Cinco Ranch had a carnival and egg hunt. Sarah did all the games and got to pick candy or toys and she chose toys every time. She also got her face painted. All three girls took pictures with with the Easter Bunny. It was a nice day.

Ewaaster takes 3 days
Easter morning Sarah woke me up and we snuggled for a few minutes and then we woke the whole house and went out to see what the Easter bunny had left everyone. Sarah had put out carrots and apple juice for him and she found that the bunny ate the carrots and drank the juice and left baskets for everyone.

Dinner and egg hunt at the Fournier's. In the afternoon, we went to the Fournier's for fun and dinner. We started this tradition last year and love going to their house for Easter. Mrs. Darlene does a great job of putting together an Easter egg hunt. The girls have to find 11 eggs in numeric order. Inside each egg was either a prize or note that said the kids had to look somewhere else for a prize. Dinner was after and we had a wonderful meal. Darlene made sure that we had lots of good things to eat. We had ham, chicken, jello eggs, rolls in the shape of rabbits, jello, salad and squash. For dessert we had apple pie and cookies that the girls and JoAnn had made.
