We had a fabulous 4th with the O'Quinns. We had dinner and then went out to the front yard to do sparklers. Sarah loved holding the sparklers and watch the sparks fly.

Christmas
Christmas was fabulous. Sarah woke us up and we came out to see that Santa had eaten the cookies and the reindeer ate their carrots. She loved to the note that Santa left her and looked at all her gifts. She first wanted to open her stocking and eat half of the chocolate in there. She was so excited to see all her gifts. Under the tree were many things. Later Manna came over and she brought more gifts and we had a great day. Manna cooked dinner for us. We had Cornish game hens, potatoes, green beans and lava cake and cheesecake pudding. I have pictures but as you have guessed they are still in the camera. Hopefully I will get them out soon. In the mean time, Manna cleaned out her camera and I will post pictures of Sarah from 3 on. Let's see!

lots to talk about

Here is a picture of Sarah and Elise playing pirate fighting. Sydney is the MC and she is calling the sward fight. They came over on Friday and we all went to dinner.
I had been in Dallas with Zadie. he had to have minor heart surgery and they put in a pace maker/defibulator. He is doing better now but it is not fun to see your dad be wheeled down the hallway to the elevators.
On Saturday we went to the Rainforest Cafe to see Santa. He was very nice. Then we went to get our Christmas/Chanukkah stuff from storage and started decorating the house. Sarah had friends caome over and the girls helped decorate.
On Sunday we had lunch with Margaret and Margot. It was nice to see them. It has been a long time.
I am getting ready to have surgery on Thursday and am getting very scared. I hope I am doing the right thing.

Trip to Dallas

We came home on Tuesday, washed clothes and packed up again on Wednesday and drove to Dallas. Sarah was very excited to see Aunt Marcy, Uncle Jim and Zadie. Aunt Marcy and Sarah made cupcakes that look like turkeys, they cooked dinner together and played a great deal. Sarah met Uncle Jon again and they played together also. Sarah was the conductor to Russ, Uncle Jon, Zadie and my playing instruments. She even had a cane she was raising up and down.
Zadie had a great time watching Sarah and how creative she was. It was a great weekend but we were glad to get home. Life can go back to normal for a little while.
