Micah's first visit to the pumpkin patch

We took Micah and Sarah and met the Fourniers at the pumpkin patch. Micah was a little cranky and didn't like the feel of all the pumpkins. We got some good pictures of the girls. Abby found the largest pumpkin and tried to roll it home with her. When we found out how much it would be, we decided to leave it in the patch. Sarah wanted to take home the weirdest looking gourds and Micah wanted nothing to so with any of them.

Elvis has come back to life

The daycare started it, by placing her hair in a fountain, which I love. SO at night we take the rubber band out, brush the hair and this is what it looks like in the morning. She is the cutest!!!

Maxx went to heaven

Yesterday was a horrible day when Russ and I took Maxx to the vet and had to put him to sleep. He declined very quickly. HE couldn't walk very well, was blind and deaf and had stopped eating. He would wet on himself as he couldn't get up to potty. His head was at an angle and his eyes were twitching. The vet told us he might have a brain tumor but we would have to do a great deal of tests to find out and it wouldn't prolong his life. Russ and I were with him. HE was given a sedative and then the injection that let him go to sleep. It was a very quick process and he was calm until the end. He was my pet/friend for almost 16 years and I will miss him greatly! Here is a picture of Maxx watching Sarah ride her bike for the first time.

This weekend

This has been a great weekend. I went to a training on Saturday and Russ had the girls all day. They went to Sarah's swim lesson and then met me for lunch. They went home for nap and play while I finished the training. In the evening, Manna stayed with Micah while Russ, Sarah and I went to Miller Outdoor Theater to see the Asian dancers. We met up with the Fourniers, Norris' and Gyillings for a picnic dinner and fun. The girls blew bubbles, rolled down the hill and played Apples to Apples junior version all while waiting for the performance to start. The dancers were good and the weather was better so it was a great night.
On Sunday, we got up and went to church, which we haven't done in over a month. After church, we came home had lunch and Micah went down for a nap. When she got up, we took her to Academy to buy her first bike helmet. She wasn't to happy about it but she did let us buy it.
We drove to the park and all got on her bikes and rode around the park twice before we went to play on the playground. Micah rode on Russ's bike with him. She held her helmet and smiled the whole time around the park. Micah and I played in the mulch while Sarah and Dad played on the equipment. Sarah loved riding her bike around the park and I thought it was fun also. Next time I promise to have a camera with us so that I can record Micah on her bike.

Micah at 18months old

Today is the day that Micah turns 18 months old. She is doing so much more today than she did when we first became a family. She is beginning to crawl by herself and walk only holding one of our fingers as she goes. She is also pulling up on things and sitting up by herself. She is smiling a great deal more. She has so many teeth that have come in that she is only missing one tooth in each corner of her mouth. Daddy thinks that she will need braces one day. She still will not feed herself. She is beginning to put her hands in the food but still will not get it to her mouth. She will take the spoon or fork and get food in her mouth if you load it for her. She is also getting a little more picky about what she will eat. Tonight when I put her on the floor, she began to get into Sarah's Lego's. We are in big trouble!
Her day care has begun to fix her hair after nap. They usually put a little fountain in her hair and the bow in front of it. I love the look. At night when I take the rubber band out she has the funniest hairstyle. It will stay standing up until we shampoo it.

Sarah gets a booster

Sarah finally hit 40 pounds and moved up into a booster seat! While in Dallas we bought the chair and put it in the van. It has lights on each side so that at night if we are in the car, she can read or play without Dada having to drive with the overhead lights on.
